Digital X-Rays
We may take digital X-rays during your appointment to track any changes that may have occurred between visits. With digital X-rays, the images are clearer and take less time to produce than traditional X-rays. In comparison to traditional X-rays, this option uses significantly less radiation, making it a safer option for all patients.
Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is a small camera on a wand that our office may use to take high-quality images of your teeth and smile. This may be used during your biannual checkup to track changes in your health or to assist diagnosing a condition.
Cone Beam CT
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) can be used to create a 3D model of your smile. It captures detailed images of your dental and skeletal structures and gums, which allows us to more thoroughly examine your oral cavity and helps us with the diagnosis process.
Digital/3D Scanner
A digital scanner can be used to create a 3D model of the inside of your oral cavity. Your dentist will use the wand-like device to capture pictures of your teeth and gums. These images are then sent directly to the chairside computer to create a digital impression of your smile.
iTero
Like a digital scanner, iTero is a type of technology used to create 3D images of your smile. This method helps efficiently map out your teeth and mouth for restorative treatments, orthodontic appliances, and more.
Digital Impressions
Digital/3D scanning technology is used to create digital impressions. The images taken will be used to create a 3D model of your smile in just a few minutes. These may be used to create restorations like crowns or bridges.
